CHERYL HUETT

Cheryl along with husband Gary are the owners and operators of Abs-O-lute Health Club.  Cheryl has had a passion for health and fitness all of her life and always dreamed of having a facility for people of all ages to feel comfortable in.  She is an active member of the Nova Scotia Amateur Bodybuilding Association and holds many first place titles from local and regional competitions.  Cheryl also was awarded her Fame Pro Card 2008.  Cheryl’s certifications include:  PTS, OAS, FIS, NWS, RESIST-A-BALL C.O.R.E. Level II, SCHWINN, SPINNING, CPR CERTIFIED.

JANET MOONEY
Janet has been involved in the fitness industry for many years and is an Active Living Facilitator.  Janet’s specialty is working with older adults and runners of all ages.  Janet’s certifications include:  PTS, OAS(CFP/NSFA), CPR CERTIFIED.

NANCY MORSE
Nancy Morse is a Certified Nutrition and Wellness Consultant through the Canadian Association of Fitness Professionals and is a Certified Natural Health Products Advisor through the Canadian Health Food Association in collaboration with the Canadian College of Naturopathy Medicine.  She has 28 years experience in scienfific research related to fat metabolism.  She is co-author of over thirty publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals and selfhelp books within the alive Natural Health Guides series, has lectured in over two dozen countries, taught courses & workshops, and has been a guest on radio & television talk shows.  Nancy’s certifications include:  B. SC., CNPA, FIS, NWS, CPR CERTIFIED and FKCI CERTIFIED, specializing in Nutrition and Wellness.

KAREN GOODWIN
Karen has been involved in fitness as a fitness instructor for many years.  Her initial goal was to get fit while having fun in a class setting with other participants which led to her certification.  After becoming certified as an instructor, resistance training became the next area of interest which has led to Karen’s personal training certification.  It takes hard work and constant dedication to achieve and maintain your health and fitness goals – remember weight gains and unhealthy lifestyles didn’t just happen overnight, so be patient you will see results, but not overnight.  Karen’s certifications include:  FIS, PTS and CPR CERTIFIED.

HELEN MACDONALD
Helen’s passion for health and fitness is infectious.  She keeps busy as a wife and mother of two, doing the balancing act of life.  She has 25 years experience in aquatics along with many years running, biking and strength training.  With her don’t give up, keep on pushing your limits attitude and love for the world of fitness, she hopes to give her clients the edge they need to reach their goals.  Her motto is “TRY IT, you don’t know if you can do it unless you TRY.  You might just surprise yourself.  The body is amazing and can be pushed to reach any goal you put your mind to.”  Helen’s primary client interest is women in their childbearing years.  Helen’s certifications include:  PTS and CPR CERTIFIED.

JASON WARD
Jason has always enjoyed sports and physicaL activity.  He started in Personal Training and Fitness Instruction in his 3rd year at Acadia in the Bachelor of Kinesiology in which he focused on athlectic conditioning.  His area of focus and expertise is now in researching and testing fat-loss and muscle building programs.  Jason’s passion is in helping people to achieve the body they want and deserve.  Qualifications:  CSEP-CPT, BKIN Acadia University ’08, NSFA Certified Fitness Instructor, First Aid and CPR CERTIFIED.
